Job Summary
Alliance IT Systems is seeking a Technical Project manager/ Scrum Master who is passionate about getting things done quickly, efficiently, and who has a vast experience of supporting complex projects and programs. The Tech PM/ SM is a contributing member of the Center of Excellence (CoE) and will support the client project delivery team in ensuring rapid, efficient, value-driven roadmap execution. This person must enjoy delivering initiatives and solving complex problems that help accomplish business objectives in innovative ways, and balance stakeholder and team member expectations without being dogmatic in their approach.

Job Duties:
- Participate in all phases of our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and coach high performing software development teams.
- Understand and speak to other processes and methodologies, and leverage those other techniques to provide value to a team and to the enterprise.
- Evaluate existing processes and procedures. Make recommendations and drive process improvement and adoption of best practices (processes, tools, etc.) to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Be a change agent: Identify ways to improve processes and remove bottlenecks to systemically improve how we deliver value to customers: Fast and Right.
- Experience in the Scrum Master role, for at least one year, for a software development or software QA organization that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
- Background in software engineering to garner respect from the teams and the willingness and aptitude to get their hands dirty to get the job done
- Proven skills and practical knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Knowledge of numerous, well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (e.g., burndown techniques, retrospective formats, test driven development, etc.).
- Understand and speak to other engineering and/or business processes, and leverage those other techniques to provide value to a team and to the enterprise.
- Understand basic fundamentals of DevOps and iterative development.
- Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics.
- Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.
- Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team.
- Coach various development teams to improve and mature their agile processes
Job Requirements:
- 4+ years of Scrum Master experience
- 3+ years of Technical Project Management experience
- Servant Leader with hands-on experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels
- Experience managing highly technical complex projects with team members that are globally disbursed.
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies (Agile and waterfall) with real-life application.
- Proven ability to influence without authority.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Proved multi-tasking ability and problem-solving skills
- Experience using JIRA, queries, story mapping, bulk updates
- Experience with Jira or similar tools
Desired Skills & Experience:
- PMP or CSM or CSPO preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
